The Story
It's a Tuesday night above a cozy café along Juana Osmeña Street. Around twenty professionals, all a little nervous, take turns standing up to speak. Some are smooth, some fumble, and every one of them walks out a little braver than before.
That's really the whole point. Public speaking is a muscle, and you can't build it in one try, so we gather twice a month to do the very thing most people avoid. We stand up, we speak, and we give each other honest, kind feedback that truly helps.
We're a proud chapter of Toastmasters International, part of a family of 364,000 members across 145 countries. But what happens in our room is something special and very Cebuano: good coffee, real friendships, and practice that stays with you long after the meeting ends.

A Typical Evening
We greet you, introduce you around, and make you feel right at home. No pressure at all to speak on your first visit.
Members deliver short speeches from their Pathways projects. You'll learn so much just by watching.
Fun, off-the-cuff speaking. It's the fastest way to learn to think on your feet.

Becoming a Member
Cebu South Toastmasters Club is part of Toastmasters International, so membership comes with a small fee. There is an affordable due paid to Toastmasters International, plus a modest local club fee. Together they cover your Pathways learning program, your materials, and your place in a worldwide community of speakers and leaders.
The best way to understand it is to come and see for yourself. Visit a meeting, get to know everyone, and we will gladly walk you through exactly how to become a member of Toastmasters International. No pressure, and no commitment on your first visit.

Before You Come
Not at all. Guests are welcome to simply sit back, watch, and enjoy. You speak only when you feel ready, and many of our members took a few visits before they did. There's zero pressure.
You can absolutely just walk in. It's lovely, though, if you send us a quick message on Facebook first, so we can look out for you, save you a seat, and give you a proper welcome.
Visiting as a guest is completely free. If you decide to join, membership comes with a small due to Toastmasters International plus a modest local club fee. We're happy to walk you through the exact figures during or after your first visit, so there's nothing to sort out beforehand.
Come as you are, it's a café. Smart casual is ideal, ideally pants and closed shoes, but there's no strict dress code. We'd rather you just show up than worry about your outfit.
Yes, and most guests do. You'll be introduced around and made to feel at home from the moment you arrive. You won't be sitting alone.
