The Toastmasters Educational Program

The Toastmasters educational program is composed of two tracks, the Communication Track  and the Leadership Track.  These tracks are not mutually exclusive. A member may work in either track one at a time, or both tracks at the same time.  But for a member to achieve the highest recognition of Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM), both tracks must be fully completed.

The Communication Track

The Communication Track is aimed at improving the speaking skills of a member.  It starts with the basics of speaking using the Competent Communication Manual included in the New Member Kit.  Upon completion of the 10 basic speech projects, a member achieves the Competent Communicator (CC) Award.  He may then proceed to the advanced speech projects for the Advanced Communication awards.
